Madison: (holding a spiderman {not-a-doll} action figure) we should make him something other than a man, we should pretend he’s a creature/ human thing.

lake monster

I keep going back and forth on which of these is my favorite image from this shoot!

right now I like this one best- but it really must be enjoyed at it’s fullest size. The expression on the canoer’s face is a riot! You would have thought he really did see a lake monster!

is that a lake monster??

I started out shooting the flowers, but something in the water caught my eye just as I pressed the shutter button. Nobody believes me when I tell them it was a wee monster, but I know.

rawr.

oh yes. I know.

Julia

A few weeks ago, I had the special honor of photographing this amazing singer. Julia sings for our church, but don’t let that tidbit fool you.

She’s not your typical floral-and-lace-dresses-kumbaya church singer.

Her voice is incredible. Not only that, but she’s one of the few musicians I know who knows what to do with that voice. She’s creative, enthusiastic, and totally rocks out a song.

I know what you are thinking. If only you could hear a photograph.

Well, in that respect, I’m just more blessed than you, my friend. But you can come down and visit our church, she sings every other Sunday.
